DXi6500
DXi6500 is a family of products that integrates disk-to-disk backup and restore performance with all leading backup applications using a simple NAS interface and Quantum’s deduplication technology. Deduplication reduces disk capacity needs by 90% or more, so systems stop filling up and IT departments save money. Plus, DXi6500 scales easily as your data grows without a service visit. For disaster recovery protection, DXi6500 replicates encrypted backup data between sites, using global deduplication to reduce typical network bandwidth requirements by a factor of 20 or more. And when it comes to long-term retention, DXi6500 is designed to provide direct tape creation in conjunction with leading backup applications, including Symantec applications using the OpenStorage (OST) API. The end result is multisite, multitier protection that’s easy to manage for restores and long-term retention.
